Education and vocational, professional training projects initiated at Pactics formed the focus of the visit on October 16, 2017. VVOB is active world-wide in improving quality of education from pre-school to secondary education. Extension to vocational and professional training is a logical next step.
Pactics’ literacy project in collaboration with Unesco, running the day care centre and Pactics’ support for the vocational training of 2 female engineers were of specific interest. These are considered excellent examples of the success a close collaboration between education providers, individuals, NGO’s and private companies can realize. Mr Van Rompuy and the VVOB team met with several employees at Pactics during the tour of the factory and had the opportunity to hear about the projects from first hand.
